Chaos & Creativity
Letting go to embrace our divine comedy
In the beginning, there was chaos.
Chaos as in life untouched. Potential. The origin of our universe. Life thrives in the chaos of every possibility explored.
What if peace was actually more so a motion? The dancing dervish and Hafiz agree, that the universe came into existence with madness in motion. Life in reverberation as the philosophy our land.
Sarah Ann Weber: I Know Her Exhibition: “Across I Know Her, Weber locates apertures where the maternal, environmental, and imaginative converge, accumulating dualities that form an ecology of unruliness and resilience. The exhibition’s title gestures to multiple recognitions—the child, the mother, the landscape, the artist herself—each glimpsed, inhabiting a space of flux and perpetual renewal.” (Anat Ebgi Exhibition Text)
Every decade or so, what defines us evolves. The words we use to describe ourselves. The perspectives we hold to be true. The way we want to be of the world changes.
The feminine is chaotic. Sacred creative energy. Untamed. Everything manifest (the masculine) was inspired from the chaos. The masculine is creation. He is art. She is the spirit through which we desire to create. Animate the body.
Recently, I finished a book called Sensual by Henika Patel with the aim of learning the art of embodiment and intention through the sensual wilderness within and of the world. I truly believe we have lost touch with our feminine nature and values as a species.
For centuries, society has overvalued the masculine - attributing success and happiness with the hustle, equity and ego that has actually numbed us. Lately, I’ve been wanting to revel in the beauty of just being in the world; experiencing our authentic selves as the landscape through our senses.
I do believe there is a way to rekindle the connection with ourselves, each other and the land. Our divinity destines it.
It is with human intention, we choose to embrace our life as spiritual exploration that tunes us with who we really are.
My wish for this human experience is make it as much of a sanctuary as some belief the next life to be. I may not know what happens next, but I know enough. I know for certain - that this earth can show us the most mystical of experiences when we are empowered by our creativity. When we know our bones are an extension of the land. How our most primal call to rejoice in community is sacred.
Huntington Beach Wetlands: Talbert Marsh
In a meditation from Sez Kristiansen she reminds us to not fear the wild and never seek shelter from it.You are the wild. You can build a home that grows into the land. Not separate from it. Within and of your flesh, you are the wilderness. All illness derives from alienation from nature. Order is an illusion. Order is more so division. It’s control.
The notion that man seeks control over nature is comical. In the act of life, we are tethered to each other and this earth. We cannot escape ourselves from the chaos.
The sensation of joy comes from the creative ebb and flow with all that is. Bliss is acquired in unleashing your creative power and potency.
When you’re in love with it all, insanity assumes your heart and empowers you to reveal the magic of the world.
This is the impulse of being.
Plant your feet.
